So yesterday was my 1-year blog-iversary. I...totally thought it was on Sunday and that I had 3 more days to think of something awesome to make. I have a goodie up my sleeve all right, and I guess it's still celebratory if just a little belated. That's cool, right?

Spinach Pesto

Y'all, I fixed my computer.  And I made pesto.  More on that later.  I took my Macbook apart and replaced a tiny cable that was so very important.  My inverter cable had a short in it that kept the backlight from staying on.  How did I figure this out?  Like every important question in my life, I googled it.  Then I found a guide that led me through the whole process.  I ordered the part from Amazon and sat down for a few hours to replace the cable.  I won't lie, a couple of times I wanted to throw my computer across the room, but when I booted it up and the problem was gone...I felt incredibly accomplished.  Plus I saved a bunch of money doing it myself.

Shrimp Scampi Flatbread

 I feel like it took me a lot longer to get to writing this post than it should've.  Because this flatbread seriously takes about 10 minutes to make and 12 minutes to bake.  Aaaand I'm rhyming.  It's cool though. I've got a thunderstorm outside and a baby who is out cold.  Nap time is work time.

Let's talk about this flatbread.  It's everything I never knew I wanted.  A garlic-y butter sauce with local shrimp and fresh mozzarella.  I was really surprised by how much I liked it.  So let's get it started, k?
